Vicki Jordan Morton, 63, of Roanoke Rapids died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Lexington Court in Richmond, VA.

Vicki was a native of Halifax County, the daughter of the late Marion Walter Jordan and Edith Tippett Jordan. She was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School, class of 1965, and graduated from East Carolina University. She was a retired educator and life-long member of First Baptist Church, where she served many years as organist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Rudolph “Rudy” Morton, Jr.

Vicki is survived by her daughter, Faith M. Bingman and her husband, Eric, of Richmond; her son, Jason Morton of Charlotte; and three grandchildren, Jeremy Bingman, Jacob Morton and Abigail Bingman.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, with Rev. Rick Gaskins officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
